• Remind all your servers of key practices for serving safely and practical tips for cutting someone off. Employees that stuck with you through the pandemic may be a bit rusty, and as capacity increases, you will likely have a lot of new hires. Train and retrain. Establish a structured process to ensure everyone is regularly reminded of their responsibilities and how to fulfill them.
• Be there for your servers. For servers facing tough situations, knowing their manager has their back makes a world of difference. How a server responds to a questionable ID or a customer who’s had too much is all that stands between your establishment and very ugly situations and legal liabilities. It’s well-worth extra time and dedication!
